At the moment I am in Brisbane, Australia, studying for my postgraduate studies. This is a scholarship study that I received from the Government. Learning meditation in Bali Usada is the opposite from the other participants in the class

My first knowledge of Bali Usada was from my friend who shared a link of live streaming for daily practice meditation in Mixlr. Holistic healing has been in my interest to begin with. I have been practicing health meditations regularly using the guided meditation in Mixlr. Furthermore I really wished to join the 8 weeks program of health meditation, Regular Usada I class. I was concerned about my health lately; with my heavy workload, I discovered that it cost me to suffer hypertension. And I only found out about it on a medical check up during the preparation before my trip to Australia.

I have been taking medication prescribed by the doctor however my hypertension was considered mild. So when I moved to Australia, I consulted with the doctor if I could stop taking medication and chose not to depend on it. Long cut short, I stopped taking medication starting January 2020. After being under medication for one year, the doctor proposed for me to change my lifestyle and my eating habits to live healthier. I used to love eating everything and this was one of the reason to caused my hypertension. Finally I also learned meditation for health from Bali Usada Health Meditation.

I practiced meditation everyday in Mixlr and later joined the Pre ODL Online program. I was very happy to be able to join the program online, despite the fact that I was living in Australia. Then later in June, I was even happier to join the Regular Usada I class as well.

During the changes of seasons in Australia, I remembered even before I started Regular Usada 1 class, people were encouraged to take flu shots as prevention. I was coughing and had the flu at the time, however I tried not to take medication. Using the Bali Usada techniques I tried to heal myself while practicing the meditation.

In the beginning I did not know how to do the healing, I was simply following the guidance. My nose was stuck and it was very hard even to breathe normally. To my surprise, when I tried to feel and observe my breathing, I could breathe normally despite my stuck nose. And I recovered within two days, since then I gained trust in my confidence that meditation can heal sickness. No matter how mild my sickness was, I just felt amazing with my healing process. 

Besides experiencing the benefits of meditation, I could also sense my body more sensitively now. I could sense better and sharper of my body and all the changes that I experienced. Annicha. Pak Merta’s teaching, everything changes all the time, nothing is permanent and if we know and aware of the changes, we will develop wisdom to experience it with your harmonious mind.

I began with confusion and not knowing what to do but as I practiced more in routine, I now can feel the vibration in my body; I also experience and feel warm in my head with electrical sensation to it. It’s winter now and usually when I meditate, my hands are cold…but now I feel warm and comfortable. Lastly the other benefit I get is with Loving Kindness, I can share and send LK to my family who are far away from me. To me, the Loving Kindness meditation is the most important practice because I can share it with all the people at home , especially my popo (grandma) who is suffering from her heart attack recently. I am sending Loving Kindness with my harmonious mind to my popo : May she be healthy and happy🙏. The above is my sharing on the benefits from practicing meditation after I joined Bali Usada May All Beings Be Happy
